Focus

Transpersonal

Focuses on the nature, varieties, causes, and effects of higher states of consciousness and transcendental experiences. The sense of self or identity extends beyond the individual or personal to encompass wider aspects of humankind, life, psyche, or the cosmos. Transpersonal psychotherapy takes a spiritual approach, factoring in the human soul, and how often it is overlooked. If you are on a path of self-discovery, finding your place in the world, or your purpose, seeking spiritual therapeutic guidance through transpersonal psychotherapy will assist you on your journey.

Humanistic

The capacity for self-actualization, self-direction and choice are the fundamental aspects of Humanistic psychology. It opens the door to self-responsibility, personal behavior, and understanding of the hierarchy of needs giving the individual the unique opportunity to observe their life from a different perspective and understanding, allowing for transformation from a more subjective lens. If you are ready to do the hard work, to understand and change your behaviors, to become a fully aware human being, a Humanistic approach is the likely route to go.

Relationships

Navigating relationships whether it’s with a romantic partner, a parent, a sibling, a co-worker, a friend, or something else (there are no black and whites when it comes to the human heart) is probably one thing in life that we will have to do the longest and sometimes it can be hard. Relationships are complex so finding a way to create successful ones in your life is important. Working on your relationships is like getting two for the price of one, you get to learn a lot about yourself as well as the relationship. In therapy, you’ll learn tools like effective communication, listening skills, and setting boundaries. If you are needing to strengthen, improve or understand, yourself, and your relationship talk to a therapist who specialized in relationships.

Clinical Supervision

Obtaining a professional license is no small achievement and I work to support my supervisees by grounding and building confidence in their clinical work. I have experience working in a variety of mental health settings: short-term crisis residential, intensive case management and full-service partnership programs, hospitals, psych-emergency services, residential and outpatient substance use programs, outpatient clinics, and private practice settings. If you would like to talk more about being granted a spot as one of my supervisees, please contact me through my website.
